Show Off Sunday

What will Anita and Kirsty come up with next?....today is Show Off Sunday or SOS :-) ooooo wot fun

Having realised that I had not published my post on Friday as I didn't have all my photos on it, I have been able to think about Sundays prompt while catching up (yet again!!). So Fridays and Saturdays photos are up..but what to do for today?

There is one photo that totally lifts my heart when I see it, not the greatest of photos (not happy with the background, but I am trying to learn). It is my grandson, Kian, taken a few weeks ago now on a sunny afternoon, when we were playing out in the garden with a tea set. We had such fun....it was a happy day and I just love him to bits ........ Oooops!!! Just realised I've had this photo on an early post, so this could be me having a wee cheat just so I can catch up. :-)

We've got hot water again

Yipppppeeee our new boiler was installed yesterday (Friday) so we have hot water again. I can't believe how excited I can get over just having hot water coming out of my taps.

I went out to see to the pups this morning and I don 't know what happened or how I did it, but I fell oot the back door and landed in a heap. I didn't know whether to greet (cry) or laugh so I just did both till my OH came and picked me up. boooo hooooo hahaha boooo hoooo hahaha hahahah :-O I was lucky I never skint ma knees, I just seem to have pulled ma muscles in my legs.... so I am walking kinda funny. :-)

HS:MS has totally freaked me out today (Saturday), they have decided that it is Self Portrait Saturday...oh no a photo of me!!!!!!! ..... I hate having my photo taken thats why I hide behind the camera taking everyone elses photo. I had to get the manual out (still learning) to see how to use the self timer and played around a bit taking some very scarey shots of myself. Not a great shot but it is the least scariest and it definately looks better in black and white than in colour. Thank goodness for PhotoShop :-)

HS:MS are going to expect a SPS (self portrait saturday) every Saturday, to see how we all change and improve on our photography ... so every weekend there will be yet another scarey photo of ma fizzog!!!! :-) So be warned this weeks wasnae to bad, but if you have a weak stomach beware of Saturdays blogs from now on :-)

St Margarets Stone, tradtition says that Queen Margaret wife of King Malcolm Canmore of Scotland would sit on this stone to rest on her way to Dunfermline, some say she would sit here and wait for those in need of her help. The stone used to be on Queensferry Road between Rosyth and Dunfermline, but has since been moved slightly and has now been made into a seat on the road leading into an industrial estate. I wonder how Queen Margaret would feel about that!!!!

Friend

Well this is my OH, Colin (he doesn't know I've put him on here). We have been together for 27 years and will be celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary next year ..... so I think I know him quite well. If you look closely you can see my dog, Buzz, who is also my friend reflected in Colins sunglasses on the left hand side (didn't notice him there till I was cropping the photo)....and yeah! thats my body reflected on the right hand side...... ooops I will have to practise a bit more.

The days are flying past.........

I can't beleive that 12 days have passed since my last post and I have fell well behind with my HS:MS photos. In the last 12 days I've been working (as usual), housework (as usual) and seeing to the pups. They are now more lively and eating more and now because of that they are sh-ting more....so plenty of clearing up to be done. I've also discovered slide mailers and altered art, photos of which will appear in a later post.

The big excitement of the week was I now have my very own craft room... yippppppeeeeeeee .... I have now moved into the summer house .... where I will spend many a peaceful hour crafting.
There was another bit of excitement this week (OMG I shouldn't over do the excitement thing LOL) I went to see Mia Dolan (spiritualist/medium). I sat in the audience listening and hoping for a message from the other side but also terrified if the microphone was put in my hands, but it seems no one wanted to talk to me. So I left after a good evening listening to everyone elses messages etc. but really dissapointed that no one wanted to contact me.... oh well maybe another time!!!
The big downside of this week is....................I never won the lottery again... and boy do I need it. My gas boiler has packed in, it's not till you haven't got hot water that you realise just how much you take it for granted. At least it's not winter so I don't need the heating on. So tomorrow at great expense a new one will (and it better be) fitted... as I am going into work extra early so I can finish early so I'm home for the workmen ........... I bags the first hot shower!!!

Another rainy day.............my god.... a summer without a hosepipe ban........anyway here is my bay tree, not a full grown tree but a small shrub of a plant. Just realised this photo can cover another prompt too...so I'm doinin' a wee bit of cheating here and doing WET as well

Catching up again with HS:MS photos

This week has just flown by, what with work, puppies and feeling unwell on one day. So as ussual I am playing catch up with the Her Space:My Space photo prompts. I still have Fridays and Staurdays to do and I haven't even had a look yet for todays word. I might have to miss a few out......
The weather this weekend has been the usual rain rain rain, so my plan to have a BBQ was cancelled again. We haven't managed one BBQ yet this year..............oh well you never know, theres always next weekend!!! :-)

My daughter Sarah-Jane has beautiful eyes and is always doing her make up and her eybrows, I managed to catch her when she came in from work so her eyes are slightly weary after looking at a computer screen all day.

Well my nearest city is Edinburgh, Dunfermline is a Royal Burough and Rosyth were I live is just a wee town, but it is The Garden City. Not totally happy with this photo, it was yet another miserable rainy day. I had planned on taking a photo of what I can see in the distance of Dunfermline (Dunfermline Abbey) but because of the weather I couldn't even see to the end of Rosyth.

Oooooooooooh I love earrings they are an addiction with me, not expensive diamond ones...can't afford them, but I will happily receive them as gifts....just send them to me :-) They are the one bit of jewellery I almost always wear. It was hard to decide which ones to photograph ................ but then the decission was made for me, my new pair off Ebay came through the letter box so it had to be them. I love Ebay for handmade earrings and these were made by Funkee Fairy Crafts. Ebay!!!! another addiction of mine

Off to do some housework now and then hopefully some crafting, might post again later tonight.

Oh and I better take a keek at the HS:MS word for today.

Catching up again!!! ..Smile, Fat & Bloom

Smile
A lifting of the corners of the mouth to express happiness. Show us a smile in your space today.........this photo was taken last year of one of Fearnes pups, he is the double of his dad, Buzz. This is Mini Mooshka Magic, he was my favourite pup in the litter, he had brilliant blue eyes. He now lives on a farm in the west of Scotland. It looks like he is laughing, so this is maybe not a smile, but it makes me smile everytime I see it.

FatSomething a little rounder than it could be. Find fat in your space.......as soon as I read this prompt there was only one thing that came to mind, my belly. I tried all day to think of something different, but my fat belly it had to be...please be warned this is not a pretty sight!!! :-)

Saturday was a lovely hot sunny day (was that our summer?). Cols and me went for a drive to Anstruther and Crail, I haven't been there for ages. 'Cause the sun was out I think everyone else had the same idea, as Anstruther was full of tourists. Lots of people with their cameras snappin', eating ice-cream and getting their fish and chips from the famous Anstruther chippy.

That was just a few of the photos I took at Anstruther and Crail.....off now to do some housework and get the dinner on and maybe get a bounce on the trampoline (got to exercise to get rid of ma fat belly LOL)

BreakfastThe most important meal of the day. Show us breakfast in your space today........I didn't get his word until I had come home from work and had my lunch, so I made a wee afternoon snack(like my belly really needs it!!!) of what I like for my brekkie at the weekend...........yummy it went down a treat, I even started eating my toast and marmite before I got my photo :-)

SUMMER.A season noted for warmth, blue skies, strawberries and fun. Show us your summer so far..... I took this photo the same day as my tree photo from an earlier post. It was a scorching hot morning and I was out walking one of my dogs.

I can't believe a week has passed already since Fearne had her pups...time is just flying by. Fearne and her pups are all doing well and they are starting to move around a wee bit more when they are awake and not feeding....cause' sleeping and feeding is about all they do at the moment....Hopefully over the weekend they should all open their eyes, then they will start to move around a bit more and play with one another
